Disappeared through simplifications in the gardens
- The current gardens were subjected to many simplifications in the course of time to reduce the maintenance costs.
- In the 19th century, the hedged alleys were removed in the woods and around the horseshoe (the park closing the Southern gardens).
- Between the 2 wars, the romantic garden (18th) where is located the source of "La Rochette" feeding the ponds, was not maintained anymore.
- After 1950, (upstream), the closed garden was not maintained anymore; it became an esplanade; the vegetable garden became a plantation of Christmas trees, then of ashes.
- Downstream, the flowers disappeared from the beds and the interior of the hedges was lowered to 2 meters. Other minor simplifications took place.
