Early 14th : The Juppleu in Freÿr and marriage Juppleu - Rochefort-Orjol.
1378 : Fiefdom of Freÿr recognized by the count of Namur to John of Rochefort-Orjol.
1410 : Mary of Rochefort-Orjol married to James of Beaufort-Spontin, founders of the Freÿr branch.
1515 : John of Glymes married to Margarita of Beaufort, heiress of the Spontin branch.
1546 : Their son, John baron of Glymes, married to Renée of Lorraine-Vaudémont, heiress of Florennes.
1673 and 1676 : James of the Freÿr branch, baron of Spontin and his son Vincent, baron of Beauraing and viscount of Esclaye (Brandenbourg).
1747 : The son of the latter, Charles, marquess of Beaufort-Spontin, married to Mary marchioness of Glymes, heiress of Florennes and Spontin.

1782 : Their son, Frederic, duke of Beaufort-Spontin, last Governor of the Low-Countries.
19th : From Frederic's first marriage to Leopoldina de Toledo-Infantado, France d' Osuna took over Beauraing, and Theresa de Strozzi Spontin. From his second marriage to Ernestina von Starhemberg, Alfred took over Florennes and Petschau (Bohemia), Valery Weinern (Austria) and Gilda Freÿr.
1836 : Gilda married to Camille, son of Charles, Marquis of Laubespin and of France of Lévis-Mirepoix.
1886 : Of their two sons, Alfred took over Chateau-Thierry (coming from the house of Brandenbourg) and Théodule Freÿr.
1941 : Gilda, granddaughter of Théodule, married to Francis, Baron Bonaert Three children: Axel married to Marie-Josèphe of Yturbe, Baudry, and Aude married to Michel count of Lillers.
1988 : Upon the death of Gilda, first her husband Francis Bonaert, then her brother John of Laubespin became the first two presidents of the Foundation owning the estate.
Currently : the family is active in the Foundation, whose president is Aude, of Lillers, Gilda's daughter.
